In the percussive group you have electric piano, clavichord, piano, and harmonics

Add to that the brass, organ, chorus, strings I, and strings II in the ensemble group and you have available nine different keyboard tone colors.

All are instantly selectable by convenient tablet switches and you can mix together as many tone colors as you want.

The keyboard is completely polyphonic; there is no limit to how many keys you can play at the same time.

Separate outputs are provided for the percussive group and the ensemble group, so you can run them through separate amps for a stereo effect

The joy stick gives you simultaneous control over pitch bends and chorus phase speed for subtle variation of rotating speaker effects and string ensemble effects

And with polyphonic pitch bends, you can change the pitch of every note in a chord.

Triple-source string synthesis and hammer noise in the piano tones contribute to the striking musicality of tone colors produced by the Korg Lambda, an extremely high quality instrument in the tradition of the PE-1000 and PE-2000.
